Overview

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. Carollo is expanding its client services to include more industrial pretreatment program work.  As the number of pretreatment projects grows, we are seeking a Professional Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Pretreatment team to meet the growing need.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scientific work and make professional decisions based on an understanding of applicable pretreatment requirements and standards
  • Develop and deliver client presentations/workshops
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
  • Data entry and analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in microbiology, chemistry, environmental science, environmental engineering, or civil engineering
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater process bench testing and modeling
  • 2+ years of related research experience
  • Application of critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
  • Experience with experimental design
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, including pipetting, weighing chemicals, calculating and making stock solutions, basic instrumentation skills
  • Familiarity with codes and regulations related to water pollution control
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
