Journal of Environmental Engineering

Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has been demonstrated to be a powerful tool in evaluating and troubleshooting existing water, wastewater and stormwater systems and improving future designs. The proposed Special Collection includes contributions that represent various aspects of the science and technology of CFD with applications in water and wastewater treatment. The Special Collection is focused but not limited to the following themes: recent advances in CFD applications to water treatment technologies; novel model frameworks integrating CFD with chemical and/or biological kinetics models; CFD applications in novel designs of water treatment unit; multiphase CFD model considering complex physical processes; and interdisciplinary CFD-based research on issues of direct relevance for the water sector.
