Appointments signal firm’s vision for sustained excellence and longevity

WALNUT CREEK, CA, JUNE 25, 2024 – On the heels of its 90th anniversary celebrations, premier water consulting firm Carollo Engineers is pleased to announce the elevation of several key employees to its board of directors. The inductees join an entirely internal board with members serving three-year terms that renew periodically, reflecting the company’s commitment to cultivating and recognizing leadership from within.

All executive vice presidents (EVPs), the new board members bring a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of Carollo’s values and objectives. They will play pivotal roles in guiding the company’s strategic growth and continued success.

Meet the new board appointees:

Michelle Cannon portraitMichelle Cannon, managing director of people, started her journey at Carollo in 2001 as human resources manager. In her current role, Cannon oversees all aspects of the firm’s people efforts including human resources; employee engagement and recognition; diversity, equity, and inclusion; learning and development; and community engagement.

Scott Hoff transitions into the role of managing director of client services, where he will oversee all of the operations in Carollo’s nine geographic regions. Previously serving as Texas client services director, Hoff has overseen more than a decade of success for Carollo in Texas, which includes over 160 employees across eight offices. Hoff has been with the company since 2001.

Troy Hedlund steps into the role of managing director of internal operations, where he will oversee finance and accounting, information technology, corporate facilities, and Carollo’s award-winning safety program. Hedlund has been a part of Carollo since 2002 and served as the internal operations director for three years before his appointment to the board.

These new additions join continuing board members B. Narayanan (president, CEO, and chairman of the board), Dave Sobeck (EVP, managing director of marketing), and Vincent Hart (EVP, new managing director of technical practices).

“These appointments come at a time when Carollo is poised for further growth and innovation within the water sector,” said Narayanan. “With a strong leadership team now further bolstered by these new inductees, Carollo is better positioned than ever to deliver excellence to our clients and advance towards our vision of being the best water consulting firm.”
